Educational Programs, Workshops, Seminars
All CEU's may be obtained in this area with a minimum of 24
hours earned.
Maximum hours allowed in a 3-year period: no limit
Publication of an article in a professional
journal
Articles published in professional journals must cover topics
listed in the NBC-HIS Competency Model. These articles should be
submitted at time of printing rather than at the recertification
deadline.
Maximum hours allowed in a 3-year period: 6 hours
Presentation of a scientific paper or
lecture
Credit is granted on actual time of presentation, not on
preparation time. CEU's earned on an hour to hour basis.
Maximum hours allowed in a 3-year period: 8 hours
Service as an Approved Item Writer for the NBC-HIS
Examination Committee
One CEU granted for every ten (10) usable items submitted into
the NBC-HIS Examination item bank.
Maximum hours allowed in a 3-year period: 8 hours
Service as a member of the NBC-HIS Examination
Committee
(NOTE: Service on a state exam or licensing board does NOT
qualify for CEU credit.)
Hours granted for hours worked at duly called meetings.
