Exam Sites
Exam site information is available from the NBC-HIS office or

the exam site list is subject to change and availability. Exam
sites are pre-approved computer lab testing centers at
university/college campuses, training centers, etc. and are located
in the U.S., Canada and select international locations.

examination application, a photocopy of your state/provincial
dispensing license (where applicable), a letter on company
letterhead from your employer or individual who supervised your
training attesting to your two-years of full-time dispensing
experience, a recent photograph (head and shoulders), and the
appropriate application and examination fees for processing. The
examination fee must be paid each time you sit for the exam.
Application and exam fees must accompany your application.
Failure to do so will result in the delay of your application and
could possibly postpone your exam session.
Upon completion of processing and verifying exam candidacy,
NBC-HIS will contact the exam candidate to schedule an exam
session. An Exam Confirmation Notice will be emailed to the exam
candidate immediately following exam registration. The exam
candidate must present the Exam Confirmation Notice to the exam
proctor at the exam site on the day of the scheduled exam.
An NBC-HIS examination application will remain valid for
two-years from the initial exam date. If an exam candidate does not
pass the National Competency Exam within two-years from the initial
exam date, he/she must submit a new application for approval and
will be required to pay both an application fee and examination
fee.
Exam Site Change
Exam Candidates may cancel or transfer an exam reservation to
another date or location provided the request is received more than
72-hours prior to the original scheduled exam date. Please note,
once an exam reservation is transferred to another date or
location, the exam fee is no longer refundable. An $85.00 fee will
be assessed if an exam reservation is canceled or rescheduled
within 72-hours of the original scheduled exam date.
